When I was a little girl I used to dream about the little house with the white picket fence and the perfect family that would live happily ever after. Claire Huxtable and Wilma Flintstone made it all look so easy. It was a rude awakening when I realized that being a mother was the hardest, most trying job I would ever have. Sleepless nights, endless piles of laundry and dishes and out of control children were just so unexpected. Was it really the same for my mother?
